Fishing

The fishing at the 700 Springs Ranch is
nothing short of incredible. The South Llano River is a
freshwater river fisherman’s dream come true. It has a great
abundance of two species of bass, three species of catfish
and Rio Grande perch that all put up a great challenge and
fight.
The ranch itself has13,000 acres and 5
miles of the river including part of the headsprings of the
South Llano. The springs release approximately 20 million
gallons of spring water per day from the Edwards Aquifer
feeding the river. This makes for one of the cleanest rivers
in the state and a tremendously healthy environment for all
aquatic species that live there.
We furnish three meals per day, a five bed
room , 4 bath resort style lodge, canoes and bass buster
fishing boats with trolling motors and five miles of river
to fish. we will also furnish the bait for night catfishing.
We do not furnish, fishing licences or fishing tackle.
All bass fishing is catch and release, but
we will fillet al the perch and catfish you desire to take
home with you.

Trips can be tailored to your groups
preferences but usually last two days and three nights.
Three meals per day are included with all trips along with
canoes and bass buster boats with trolling motors if you
desire. The river is shallow enough in most areas to wade
fish. Fishermen can also drive their own cars on the
property once we have given everyone a tour and introduction
to the ranch. Trips must have at least 4 fishermen to book a
weekend. Please call for prices and availability
